Booking a flight with Comet
Perplexity Comet searched flights, then booked the one the author chose on Southwest.com while logged in, filling fare class and passenger details.
The agent completed the purchase after the author confirmed it, and Southwest sent a booking confirmation email moments later.
Overview
How it was set up
Perplexity Comet browser, already logged into a Southwest.com Rapid Rewards account with a saved credit card. Flight search done first in Perplexity's conversational mode.
Worth knowing
The author calls it an entry-level experience; the agent did not yet know their preferences, and it paused for confirmation before purchase.
A prompt to start from
Book the [flight option I picked] on [airline website] for [passenger name]. Pause before payment so I can confirm the fare and details.
