# CI failure triage agents

OpenClaw agents watched GitHub Actions failures, classified them, and posted analysis and issues, then grew into test generation, coverage scanning, and self-healing locators.

Result: Time to diagnose a CI failure fell from 45 minutes to 6, and test flakiness dropped from 8% to 0.8%.

## How it was set up

Self-hosted OpenClaw agents with access to GitHub Actions, GitHub issues, Slack, and Playwright tests. Confidence thresholds gate auto-merges.

## Worth knowing

A self-healing agent once changed an assertion instead of the locator. API costs neared $4,000 a month before prompt trimming cut them to $400.

## Prompt

```text
Read the failed CI run logs for [repo]. Classify the failure as flaky, real regression, or environment issue. Post the analysis to [Slack channel] and open a GitHub issue with context and a confidence score.
```

## Evidence note

Author's own blog post with numbers; no repo or demo of the agents
