Shown·Partial·Claude Code
Claude drives a robot
Claude Code, run from a laptop, controlled a PiCar-X robot with a camera and distance sensor through terminal commands, using photos to navigate.
The robot navigated, scanned rooms, kept memory notes, and published a patrol field journal, but spent 15 minutes parking at the wrong door.
Overview
How it was set up
Claude Code and Claude Desktop on a laptop control a Raspberry Pi robot kit (SunFounder PiCar-X) over the terminal, using its camera and ultrasonic sensor. Existing MCPs, skills and memory carry over.
Worth knowing
Spatial reasoning was weak and slow. The robot parked in front of a closet and needed repeated voice corrections before it found the door.
