# Microsoft 365 on Linux

A Nix flake runs Microsoft 365 and Office Home 2024 on Linux through umu-launcher and GE-Proton, with shims fixing Wine crashes.

Result: Word starts and draws its ribbon, OneNote signs in and saves edits, and a retail Home 2024 key activated through account sign-in.

## How it was set up

Nix flake with umu-launcher and GE-Proton or ProtoSoda, winetricks fonts and DLLs, plus custom shims for licensing, ole32 and d2d1.

## Worth knowing

Office LTSC and volume-license keys do not activate under Wine. Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook were untested at last status.
