# MRI second opinion

Claude Code with Opus 4.8 read a DICOM shoulder MRI export, then ran a subagent-based arbitration against the human radiology report.

Result: Opus found no tear where the doctor reported a Grade III partial-thickness tear. The author is unsure which reading to trust.

## How it was set up

Claude Code with Opus 4.8 at xhigh effort, told to install the packages it needed. The 266 MB DICOM export was analysed, then compared using multiple subagents.

## Worth knowing

AI and doctor disagree and neither is confirmed. The author is not a doctor; not medical advice.

## Evidence note

Blog post with two PDF reports; no repo or independent confirmation
