Parallel feature shipping in Codex
Keith Rumjahn used the OpenAI Codex desktop app with git worktrees and parallel threads to build four features for their Mac app at once.
Four features finished in about 2 hours instead of 3-5 days each, and the daily view took 40 minutes.
Overview
How it was set up
Codex desktop app with four threads in Work Tree mode, heavy refactoring sent to Codex Cloud, plus saved Skills for Linear tickets and YouTube analytics. Requires ChatGPT Plus.
Worth knowing
Git worktrees have a learning curve, and Codex only works with OpenAI models. Their YouTube view gains are only partly credited to the skill.
