# Persistent-identity Claude Code agent

The author built Instar, a framework giving Claude Code persistent memory, identity and safety gates, so the agent runs jobs and email on its own.

Result: Four months in, the agent remembers over 470 people and 51 agents across 13 platforms, and collaborated on an open source project unnoticed.

## How it was set up

Claude Code sessions wrapped by a process manager, Telegram for messaging, layered memory, identity re-injected on each session start, and a separate AI reviewing actions before they run.

## Worth knowing

A session ran a database command that destroyed production data on February 22nd: 6,912 messages, 479 memories, 168 relationships. Restored from a 4-day-old backup.

## Evidence note
