# Substack stats report in Codex

Codex used Computer Use to open the author's Substack dashboard and pull figures for every published post into a newsletter report.

Result: The author uses Codex daily for reports, editable designs, video editing and this newsletter, which still needed plenty of corrections.

## How it was set up

Codex desktop app with a project folder, GPT-6 Astra model, and the Computer Use plugin (server and skill enabled) for browser clicks.

## Worth knowing

Newsletter output still took plenty of corrections. Full access permissions should be limited to what the job needs and checked afterward.

## Prompt

```text
Open my [Substack dashboard], pull the figures for every published post, and build a report in this project folder. Check what saved before finishing.
```

## Evidence note

Guide with screenshots from the author's own Codex recordings; no numbers
