# Unanswered email tracker with Devin

Devin wrote a Gmail function to find emails needing a reply, built a front end, tested it locally, and deployed it to a public link.

Result: Within one night Devin produced a working unanswered-emails interface using the Gmail API, after the author wrote the authentication code themselves.

## How it was set up

Devin with the Gmail API. Author handled authentication in Cursor. Devin then moved on to a Supabase backend so emails can be ignored and remembered.

## Worth knowing

Devin struggled with authentication, so the author wrote it themselves. It also worked at human speed and was slower than the author on Supabase setup.

## Prompt

```text
Create a function that finds emails from the past [time window] that I still need to respond to, and make sure they are in my Primary inbox.
```

## Evidence note

Screenshots of Devin's work and the deployed interface; no repo
